Wire is a 2D, top down puzzle game featuring non-euclidean geometry.
Wire is a 2D, top-down puzzle game that features non-euclidean geometry. However, no previous knowledge about the mathematical background is needed. The first levels show how these geometries work and how they affect the game mechanics.
The game world, seemingly confusing at first, is governed by simple rules. Levels are presented in 2D but need to be considered in 3D to fully understand how they work. For example, the first level is a loop, and the unexpected behavior of arriving back at the start after walking in a “straight line” cannot be explained in 2D. On the other hand, it can be easily understood by visualizing a ring in 3D and the player walking on its surface.
