Overview:
Returnal is a roguelike-inspired third-person shooter by developer Housemarque. The game has Alien-esque visuals, dark and discordant atmospheric music, a world where you are utterly alone, and a story told through main character Selene's sparse monologue, which hints at a larger sci fi mystery. Fast-paced gameplay demands precision of the player, all the more so due to the metagame structure threatening with the loss of hours of progress.
