Overview
Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou, or Bishoko Sentai Barayarou, ("Gourmet Squad: Rose Jerks" - where barayarou is a spin on bakayarou, or "dumbass") is a side-scrolling brawler set in the future city of Zeus Heaven Magic City that is suffering from an oppressive secret organization causing widespread strife and crime. To counter it, the city administrators outfit three warriors - Bonjour, Mademoiselle and Tres Bien - with powerful armor that emphasizes their muscles and sends them out to save the city.
The game was developed by the same creators of the Cho Aniki franchise, a series of shoot 'em ups from Masaya that also focuses heavily on surrealism and extremely buff protagonists. The game supports up to two players.
The game was later translated into English as Gourmet Warriors and added to Steam by Piko Interactive in 2019.
