Amazon Trail II is the sequel to the educational game Amazon Trail.
The player joins up with a river guide in the city of Belem, at the mouth of the Amazon River, with the end goal of reaching the city of Vilcabamba. As the player and the guide continue along the river (aided by a talking jaguar), the player is mysteriously transported through blue mist to another time and place. During the trips through the blue mist, the player is introduced to both real and fictional historical and culural figures who often have tasks or desired items to trade.
